Με μια επετειακή ανάρτηση, επέλεξε να τιμήσει την 193η επέτειο από τη Ναυμαχία του Ναυαρίνου το υπουργείο Εξωτερικών της Ρωσίας.
Συγκεκριμένα την Τρίτη, το ρωσικό ΥΠΕΞ ανήρτησε στον επίσημο λογαριασμό του στο Twitter βίντεο αφιερωμένο στην 193η επέτειο της «Ναυμαχίας στο Ναυαρίνο», η οποία, μέσω της βύθισης του οθωμανικού στόλου, οδήγησε λίγο αργότερα στην ανεξαρτησία της Ελλάδας.
Στις 20 Οκτωβρίου 1827, στον Κόλπο του Ναυαρίνου, οι ναυτικές δυνάμεις της Ρωσίας, της Γαλλίας και της Μεγάλης Βρετανίας κατάφεραν ένα σημαντικό πλήγμα κατά των Οθωμανών, υποστηρίζοντας τον αγώνα των Ελλήνων για Ελευθερία και Ανεξαρτησία.
