A vessel navigating the open waters near Crete’s southern coast spotted yet another boat carrying refugees and migrants this Sunday. A nearby vessel promptly launched a rescue operation, successfully saving approximately 112 individuals from the precarious situation at sea.
The rescued migrants and refugees reached the Agia Galini port on Sunday afternoon. In preparation for their arrival, a comprehensive mechanism had already been established in the area to ensure these individuals receive the necessary care.
Notably, an additional 35 individuals were discovered in the southern part of the Heraklion region, specifically in Kaloi Limenes. These incidents underscore the ongoing challenges faced by those seeking refuge, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to address their needs.
