Απογοητευτικά είναι τα νέα για την ελληνική δημοσιογραφία, όπως αποκαλύπτει η τελευταία έκθεση της οργάνωσης Δημοσιογράφοι Χωρίς Σύνορα.
Η έκθεση κυκλοφόρησε υπό τον τίτλο «Επικίνδυνο κοκτέιλ για την ελευθερία του Τύπου και αναφέρει ότι «η ελευθεροτυπία υπέφερε στην Ελλάδα το 2020», κατηγορώντας την ελληνική κυβέρνηση για προσπάθεια να ελέγξει τη ροή πληροφοριών.
«Η συντηρητική κυβέρνηση του Κυριάκου Μητσοτάκη χορήγησε γενναιόδωρες φορολογικές εκπτώσεις στη διαφήμιση για τα μέσα ενημέρωσης, αλλά επιδίωξε, άμεσα ή έμμεσα, να ελέγξει στενά τη ροή πληροφοριών, στο πλαίσιο των προσπάθειών της να αντιμετωπίσει την πανδημία του κορονοϊού και την προσφυγική κρίση», γράφει η έκθεση.
Εδική μνεία έγινε στα 20 εκατομμύρια ευρώ της λίστας Πέτσα, καθώς «τα διερευνητικά μέσα και τα μέσα μαζικής ενημέρωσης που είναι επικριτικά απέναντι στην κυβέρνηση είτε παραλείφθηκαν είτε έλαβαν ένα δυσανάλογα μικρό μερίδιο της διαφήμισης που προέκυψε από μια αμφιλεγόμενη εκστρατεία ενημέρωσης 20 εκατ. ευρώ σχετικά με τον ιό».
Η οργάνωση για την προστασία της ελευθερίας του Τύπου τονίζει ότι «οι δημοσιογράφοι έπρεπε να ζητούν την άδεια της κυβέρνησης προτού κάνουν ρεπορτάζ στα νοσοκομείο» καθώς και ότι «το υπουργείο Υγείας απαγόρευσε στο υγειονομικό προσωπικό να μιλάει στα μέσα ενημέρωσης».
Η έκθεση δεν παραλείπει να αναφέρει την εντολή που δόθηκε στην ΕΡΤ, προκειμένου να μην μεταδίδει τα πλάνα με το τραπέζωμα μετά μουσικής του πρωθυπουργού στην Ικαρία τον περασμένο Φεβρουάριο, ενώ παραβίαζε τα μέτρα κατά της πανδημίας.
Η αστυνομική βία κατά των δημοσιογράφων επίσης αποτελεί πηγή προβληματισμού για τους Δημοσιογράφους Χωρίς Σύνορα οι οποίοι κατηγόρησαν την ελληνική αστυνομία για βίαιες συμπεριφορές και αυθαίρετες απαγορεύσεις, με σκοπό την παρεμπόδιση της κάλυψης της προσφυγικής κρίσης στα νησιά.
Μάλιστα, η έκθεση δεν διστάζει να αναφερθεί συγκεκριμένα στην περίπτωση μελών κινηματογραφικού στυνεργείου με Γερμανούς δημοσιογράφους που γύριζε ντοκιμαντέρ στη Σάμο και είχαν καταγγείλει τη σύλληψή τους και κακομεταχείρισή τους από αστυνομικούς. Επίσης επισημαίνεται και η παρεμπόδιση δημοσιογράφων να καλύψουν την πυρκαγιά στη Μόρια.
«Στην Αθήνα, η αστυνομία παρεμπόδισε φωτορεπόρτερ που κάλυπταν επετειακή διαδήλωση [σ.σ. 6ης Δεκέμβρη] στα τέλη του 2020 και έσυρε έναν δημοσιογράφο για υποτιθέμενη παραβίαση των μέτρων για τον Covid-19, προσάγοντάς τον άμεσα», υπογραμμίζεται.
«Υπάρχει ανησυχία για τους νέους κανόνες για την αστυνόμευση των διαδηλώσεων, επειδή ορίζει συγκεκριμένες περιοχές για τον Τύπο», συμπληρώνει η οργάνωση.
Τέλος, γίνεται αναφορά και στο σοκ που υπέστη ο δημοσιογραφικός κόσμος λόγω της δολοφονίας του αστυνομικού συντάκτη, Γιώργου Καραϊβάζ.
Πέντε θέσεις «κατρακύλησε» η Ελλάδα
Αξίζει να αναφέρουμε ότι το 2019 η χώρα μας βρισκόταν στην 65η θέση της παγκόσμιας κατάταξης των Δημοσιογράφων Χωρίς Σύνορα (RSF) για την ελευθερία του Τύπου. Μέσα σε ένα χρόνο, η χώρα μας έπεσε κατά πέντε θέσεις και πλέον βρίσκεται στην 70η.
Την επιδεινούμενη θέση της Ελλάδας στον Παγκόσμιο Δείκτη Ελευθερίας του Τύπου των RSF σχολίασε, μέσω αναρτήσεών του στο Facebook, ο καθηγητής Επικοινωνίας και ΜΜΕ του ΕΚΠΑ και μέλος του ΕΣΡ Γιώργος Πλειός.
Στο πρώτο από τα σχόλιά του ο κ. Πλειός επισημαίνει πως «η Ελλάδα έπεσε πέντε θέσεις πιο κάτω σε σχέση με το 2020 (μέτρηση 2019) και 2019 (μέτρηση 2018) σύμφωνα με τον Παγκόσμιο Δείκτη Ελευθερίας του Τύπου των RSF». Παραθέτει, δε, «ορισμένες από τις χώρες που είναι πιο ψηλά από την Ελλάδα» κατά τον ίδιο δείκτη της οργάνωσης για την προστασία της ελευθερίας του Τύπου, μεταξύ των οποίων οι «Ναμίμπια, Ν. Αφρική, Χιλή, Μποτσουάνα, Πολωνία, Τόγνκα, Ρουμανία, Φίτζι, Βοσνία, Νίγηρας, Αρμενία, Μογγολία κ.α.».
Σε επόμενο post του, ο καθηγητής δημοσιεύσει ένα γράφημα της νέας έκθεσης των RSF, στο οποίο υποστηρίζει πως «αποτυπώνεται ξεκάθαρα ποιος και τι βλάπτει την ελευθερία του Τύπου» στη χώρα μας:
